AFROPUNK x adidas
While I was living in Brooklyn, I was immersed in the culture in which AFROPUNK was a part of. I soon gained interest in understanding the community the festival enriched and built which lead me to understand the roots of where it came from.
AFROPUNK began as a 2003 documentary exploring the role of African Americans in the American punk scene. It soon evolved into an alternative movement that goes beyond a type of music and culminated in a series of festivals that bring together music, fashion, art, and activism. The community fights for equality and against discrimmination of all forms which are values that sit dear to my heart.

SKETCHES / MOCK UPS
The first Triple Platforum launched were in all black with hints of hardware
as a nod to the origin of AFROPUNK fashion- stud patterned buckle,
matte patent leather, hooked eyelet, side stitched strap for DIY buckles,
and of course the overexaggerated tripple platform thick midsoles.
